Rotary Blood donation campaign collects 170 units

Jamshedpur : To meet the acute shortage at Jamshedpur Blood Bank, an emergency blood donation camp was organized jointly by all the Rotary Clubs (zone 17 and zone 18) and Rotaract Clubs of Jamshedpur. This campaign which started on 30th July ended today with a total collection of over 170 units during the period.

Presidents of all the seven Rotary clubs of Jamshedpur as well as DRR Tasneem E Gul participated in this campaign under the guidance of Amitava Bakshi (Assistant Governor, Zone 17), Alpa Parikh (Assistant Governor, Zone 18). Significant contribution has been made by the members of Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Steel City who contributed 140 units during this campaign. Many Friends of Rotary from 14 large companies of Adityapur and Tata Motors contributed to the noble cause. The closing ceremony was attended by both the AGs, Vishal Agarwalla (President, Rotary club of Jamshedpur Steel City), Anjani Nidhi (President, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur West), Jayanti Dutt (President, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur East), Murali (President, Rotary Club of Jamshedpur Dalma), Krishna Kharia, Manju Bhamra, Nainshy Agarwal amongst others.

Sanjay Chowdhary (Administrator, Jamshedpur Blood Bank) thanked the Rotary Clubs for their unyielding support in these tough times.
