Khunti horror: Three arrested for raping minor relatives

Police arrested three men on Tuesday for allegedly raping three minor girls, including two sisters, in Jharkhand’s Khunti district.
The arrests followed complaints filed at the local women’s police station on Monday.
The incident took place on October 2 within the limits of the Khunti police station.
According to officials, the accused lured the girls away to different locations before committing the assaults.
Police confirmed that all three suspects are adults and share close familial relationships with the victims.
Authorities registered the case under relevant provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act.
“We have arrested the three accused in connection with the incidents,” Khunti Superintendent of Police Rishabha Garg stated.
“All three are close relatives of the girls and are adults,” the officer added.
Medical examiners have completed tests on the survivors to gather forensic evidence for the trial.
Investigators are currently collecting additional evidence to build a strong legal case against the suspects.
Law enforcement officers continue their investigation into the exact sequence of events leading to the crime.
The police department assured that officers are prioritizing the prompt legal processing of the case.
