Jamshedpur :In a proactive move to ensure law and order during the festive season, the local police conducted a flag march through key areas, signaling their commitment to maintaining a safe environment for the Durga Puja celebrations. Organizing committees have been briefed to extend full cooperation to the authorities, emphasizing the collective responsibility for an incident-free puja.

In addition to increased police presence, the use of electronic gadgets has been amplified to address any potential crises at the local level. The East Singhbhum district administration has mobilized all departments, forming coordinating control centers at strategic locations like Mango, Golmuri, and the Station Roundabout.

To combat issues like eve teasing, plain-clothed police officers will be deployed at puja venues, keeping a vigilant eye on potential troublemakers. The Rapid Action Force and Jharkhand Jaguar personnel, working in collaboration with local police, will maintain a mobile presence in sensitive areas throughout the hectic five-day celebration.

Policewomen, discreetly dressed, will be stationed at puja pandals to monitor crowd movements, ensuring a secure and peaceful environment for all participants. The comprehensive security measures aim to reassure the public and underscore the authorities’ dedication to a harmonious and incident-free Durga Puja.
