Returning Officer reviews preparations for counting of votes

Jamshedpur, Dec 16: East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner-cum-District Returning Officer Ravi Shankar Shukla issued a set of instructions to all election officials of the district to ensure hassle-free counting of votes on 23rd December. He said the election officials should make all necessary preparations and verify them to ensure that the counting process is smooth and successful. He was speaking to the officials while giving a presentation on counting of votes and necessary requirements.

The DC said counting agents and representatives of various candidates would be present in the postal ballot counting room. There would be four persons in the postal ballot and ETPBS scanning team. Computer operators and technical persons would also be present with the assistant returning officers (AROs), he said.

Shukla said first postal ballots would be counted after which counting of other votes would begin. He said all guidelines and instructions issued by the Election Commission of India would be strictly followed.

The DC was accompanied by SDO Dhalbhum Chandan Kumar, ADC Sourav Kumar Sinha, ADC Law and Order Nandkishore Lal, SRO Naveen Kumar and all AROs.
