Jamshedpur: As March begins, the city is experiencing intense heat, with strong sunlight and rising temperatures making daily life difficult. With afternoons becoming unbearably hot, people are increasingly relying on fans and air conditioners for relief.
On Monday, the city’s maximum temperature was recorded at 34.5°C, which is 0.9°C higher than normal, while the minimum temperature stood at 20.9°C, a significant 4.1°C above normal levels. Humidity levels fluctuated between 51% during the day and 32% at night, contributing to the discomfort.
According to the Meteorological Department, the current hot weather conditions will persist for the next two days, with little chance of relief. However, starting from March 6, temperatures are expected to drop by 2 to 3 degrees Celsius, bringing slight relief from the scorching heat.
The forecast suggests a dip in both day and night temperatures, making evenings and mornings more comfortable. However, experts advise residents to stay hydrated and avoid excessive sun exposure, as high daytime temperatures are expected to continue for a few more days.
