Jamshedpur: As many as 40 aspirants filed their nomination for the various posts of Jharkhand State Youth Congress Committee at Tilak Pustakalaya, Bistupur, on Sunday.
The prominent of them who have applied for the post of general secretary include vice president of Jamshedpur Lok Sabha Youth Congress Rakesh Sahu, Cindrella Balmuchu, daughter of Rajya Sabha MP and senior Congress leader Pradip Balmuchu, Ashish Kumar Mukhi and Nalini Sinha. Cindrella Balmuchu had contested the last Assembly elections from Ghatsila.
Those having applied for the post of president of Jamshedpur Lok Sabha Youth Congress include Sanatan Bhagat, Hari Ram Tudu, Mukesh Yadav, Kamlesh Sahu and Mohamamd Naushad.
There are a total of 14 candidates in fray so far. The candidates filed their nominations in the presence of district election observer Dr Ravindra Kumar Ravi.
