Potka: Former state labour minister KN Tiwary led a delegation of district Congress members on a visit to Haldipokhar village on Sunday and met the kin of the three local youths lynched in Shobhapur village of Rajnagar in Seraikela-Kharsawan on 18th May last.
Tiwary said the Congress stood in solidarity with the family members of the deceased. He said he had come to visit the village to find out as to how did the law and order suddenly turn into lawlessness in Bagbera and Rajnagar. He said the existing administrative system and government were responsible for the killings.
It is really shocking to find out as to how did so many people go berserk and take the law in their hands. Even the police were assaulted later by protestors. This shows the system has completely failed to stop crime and deal with the people in the most appropriate manner, Tiwary said.
Many Congress leaders were present on the occasion. They included Raghunath Pandey, Vijay Khan, Pramod Mishra, PN Jha, Sanjay Singh and Dukhnimaya Sardar.
