Rajkharsawan railway station to be modernised: Arjun Munda

Jamshedpur, Aug 6: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday laid the foundation stone for redevelopment of 508 railway stations across the country via video conferencing.

The project will be implemented in Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode, and the Rajkharsawan railway station in the Chakradharpur division is among the stations included in this significant initiative.

On Sunday, a program was organized at Rajkharsawan railway station, where people virtually witnessed the foundation stone laying ceremony and listened to the Prime Minister’s address. The ceremony was graced by Union Minister Arjun Munda as the chief guest, while Kharsawan MLA Dashrath Gagrai attended as guest of honour.

In his address, Union Minister Arjun Munda expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Prime Minister and the Railway Minister for selecting Rajkharsawan and other railway stations in Jharkhand for the Amrit Railway Station project. As part of the scheme Rajkharsawan railway station will be modernised, said Munda. He also praised the General Manager of Chakradharpur Railway Division for his efficient working style. Munda highlighted the issues faced by passengers at Sini railway station and discussed plans to initiate its renovation in the future.

He emphasized the government’s commitment to extending development plans to the remotest corners of the country.

The modernization of railway stations, including Rajkharsawan, is set to provide passengers with a host of amenities and conveniences. Kharsawan MLA Dashrath Gagrai also commended the efforts of the Government of India in this endeavor. He particularly lauded the dedication of local MP cum Union Minister Arjun Munda, along with the Prime Minister and Railway Minister, in making this initiative possible. Gagarai shared that his mother laid the foundation stone for Kharsawan railway station, and he expressed his joy in seeing the station rejuvenated for the benefit of the local community. He urged authorities to address the road connectivity issues to Sini railway station promptly.

The foundation stone laying program marked a significant step towards transforming railway stations and elevating the travel experience for the passengers in the region.
