Inspects health and police facilities at Ghatshila
Jamshedpur, August 6 : East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri, during his tour of Baharagoda and Ghatshila block conducted a surprise inspection of Community Hospital in Baharagoda, Block Office Baharagoda and police station and sub-divisional hospital, trauma Center, malnutrition treatment center in Ghatshila.
Deputy commissioner visited all the wards of the hospital and inquired from the patients and attendants about the health facilities being provided to them, whether the doctor comes for regular check-up or not.
When he inquired about the presence of other doctors from Dr. Rituraj, the doctor present on the spot, he was told that they were in the quarter, the Deputy Commissioner reached the quarter and found it locked.

Dr. Utpal Murmu, Dr. Gopinath Mahali, Dr. Neha Kumari, Dr. Sangeeta Kerketta, Dr. Suparna Nayak, Dr. Archana Sinha were instructed to show cause to the Civil Surgeon for being absent from duty without permission.
At the same time, the matter of deputation of another doctor in Shravani Mela was told.
He also saw quality of the construction work of the newly constructed BDO and CO residence and saw construction work remained incomplete, the reason was asked from the engineer of the special work division.
He also took information from police at Hajat and police station about dacoity, extortion, murder, cases related to SC ST Act or other matters. He reviewed the law and order situation in the police station area from the SDPO and station in-charge and also inquired whether there is any problem in the maintenance of law and order.
He inspected Ghatshila subdivisional hospital after inspection in Bahragora block and said that appropriate action will be taken so that people can get benefit from trauma centre.
At the Malnutrition Treatment Center operated in the hospital premises, inquired about the facilities from the mothers, asked the doctors about the improvement in the health of the malnourished children, inquired whether the nutrition is available on time or not and also looked at the menu. Malnourished children are born in the hospital or go the same at home.
