Jamshedpur, Oct 26: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national vice president and former Chief Minister, Raghubar Das, is set to take the oath as the 26th Governor of Odisha on October 31.
The solemn ceremony will be conducted by the Chief Justice of Odisha at the Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar. Das will leave for Bhubaneswar from Sonari Airport on October 30 via an Odisha government charter plane.
Upon his arrival in Odisha, Das will first pay his respects at the Lord Jagannath temple, seeking blessings and offering worship. Subsequently, he will proceed to the Lingaraj Temple in Bhubaneswar to continue his spiritual journey.
Earlier on Wednesday, Das left for Ranchi where he meet party officials at the BJP office.
On Friday, Das is scheduled to meet BJP’s national president, JP Nadda, to tender his resignation. He will also meet President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, and other prominent central leaders and senior party officials.
After a two-day visit, he is scheduled to return to Jamshedpur on October 28.
