Jamshedpur: ‘Sikh Virsa Exhibition’ at Sakchi Gurudwara from Oct 27

Jamshedpur, Oct 26: In an initiative aimed at promoting women empowerment and self-reliance, a group of women, led by Sandeep Kaur and Charanjit Kaur, is set to host a three-day ‘Sikh Virsa Exhibition’ from October 27 to 29 at the Sakchi Gurudwara complex.

This exhibition will serve as a platform for women to showcase their handmade art and crafts to the public.

A meeting was held at Sakchi Gurudwara to discuss the successful conduct of this empowering exhibition.

Sakchi Gurudwara President Nishan Singh and General Secretary Paramjit Singh Kale expressed their support for this endeavor, emphasizing the importance of providing women with a platform to display and sell their creations, thereby advancing their empowerment.

The ‘Sikh Virsa Exhibition,is scheduled from 10 am to 7 pm at Govind Bhawan within the Sakchi Gurdwara Sahib complex.

Sandeep Kaur highlighted that the primary objective of the exhibition is to empower women, particularly Sikh women, and provide them with a platform to exhibit their artistic skills and handmade items.

Charanjit Kaur echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of enabling women to showcase their art and benefit from the sale of their handmade goods. The organizers are committed to using the exhibition as a means to educate and support women in generating income beyond their traditional household roles.

The exhibition is slated to commence on October 27 with Nishan Singh as the chief guest.

The meeting held to discuss the exhibition included key members of the women’s group, as well as prominent figures such as President Nishan Singh, Trustee Sardar Satnam Singh Sidhu, General Secretary Paramjit Singh Kale, Treasurer Jasbir Singh Gandhi, Senior Vice President Satnam Singh Ghumman, and others.
