Jamshedpur, Dec. 23: The Jharkhand BJP celebrated the ‘Vikas Parv’ (festival of development) on the two years completing of Raghubar Das government at Michael John Auditorium in Bistupur on Friday.
Minister in charge of the district, HRD minister Neera Yadav was the chief guest along with Jamshedpur MP Vidhut Varan Mahato, Potka MLA Menka Sardar, state BJP spokesperson Rajesh Kumar Shukla, district president Dinesh Kumar, district general secretary Chandrasekhar Gupta, Anil Modi and others were present.
The event began by paying floral tributes to the portrait of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay and Shyama Prasad Mukherjee. Anchoring the function, Dinesh Kumar said, under the leadership of chief minister Raghubar Das, Jharkhand is moving fast on the tracks of development.
He further said that along with the Vikas Parv celebration, a mega blood donation camp will be organized on the 92nd birthday of former Prime Minister and Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee on December 25.
Also present at the event were Suresh Sonthalia, president of Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce, RN Das of District Bar Association, Gurdev Singh Raja of Central Gurudwara Prabandhak Committee. Addressing the gathering, HRD minister Neera Yadav said, development and public welfare is the main focus of the BJP.
The opposition is doing negative politics and is trying to disrupt the development process in the state. ‘Raghubar Das led BJP government is till date the most successful government in Jharkhand as in merely two years the status of Jharkhand has risen considerably while several doors have been opened for foreign investment’, she added.
Minister further said, our main motive is of public participation in government schemes and plans as it helps move the government and public go along together. She appealed the party workers to help reach the government schemes to the last person.
Earlier Jharkhand was hassled by the corruption and naxal attack but after the Raghubar government took over the situation has changed. The state government is focusing on to make Jharkhand an education hub and presented the efforts of the government regarding agriculture, education, health, defence etc.
Minister welcomed the demonetisation step taken by the central government and said that it would help our fight against the corruption and black money.
Also present at the event was Potka MLA Menka Sardar. She said that all the achievements of the state and central government is due to the hard work of the party workers.
MP Vidyut Varan Mahato said, the people who voted for BJP in the general and assembly elections are happy with the development process and the central government is making sure the roads are well built. Mahato further said that soon Tatanagar would get a new train to Mumbai.
