Ranchi, Dec. 23: Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu on Friday said the finance department has a very important role to play in the development of the state and the nation.
Citing the example as to how money plays an important role in running of the house hold expenses, Governor said, ‘revenue is needed for the efficient functioning of a state and the country so that the schemes and plans sizes can be determined for the welfare of the people.
Taking it into consideration the planning for the nation is carried out, added Draupadi Murmu while interacting with the 35 trainee officers of Jharkhand Financial Services.
For a country to operate efficiently, revenue is required based on which the size of government plans and schemes are decided. The governor met 35 trainee officers of state’s financial services. Ms Murmu asked the officers to remain vigilant, time bound and honest towards their work.
She asked them to work in such a manner so that their services are of great benefit to the common people, the state and the country. The governor asked them to keep themselves updated with the latest IT and lay stress on transparency in work.
Apart from maintaining a good behavior she asked them to set an example for others by their actions. On the occasion ATI DG P K Jajoria and Principal Secretary of the Governor S K Satpathy were also present.
