Raghubar Das inaugurates online services of JBVNL

Ranchi, Oct 15: Praising the present work culture of Jharkhand, Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that different departments are coming closer & working in coordination. Referring to the online service of Electricity Department, the CM said that JBVNL, IT & Postal Department have made the work possible working in association.

The CM said that such type of endeavors will be continued by the state to realize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Digital India Program. The Govt. is planning to provide online facilities on mobile apps. Terming electricity as the key to development, the CM said that 32,000 villages will be illuminated with electricity by 2018. The CM said that the online service has been inaugurated in Navratri which we look forward to energize ourselves.

On this occasion, Principal Secretary, Energy S.K. G. Rahate said that online service boost up revenue lection in the state. He said that by 2017, villages of the state are to be electrified. IT Secretary Sunil Kumar said that this online facility will be provided to all 4700 Pragya kendras of the state.

Chief Post Master General A. S. Prasad said that all the 434 post offices will be facilitated with online services. MD, JBVNL Rahul Purwar said that this online service has been completed in three month timeframe as given by the CM. This online service has the facility of paying bill, changing load & new electric connection. In addition to 60 onetime payment machines, 69 new machines are being installed.

On this occasion, VSNL MD Mr. Amit Kumar, Engineer-in-Chief of JBVNL Mr. C. D. Kumar and senior officers of IT, Post & Energy were present.
