Jamshedpur, August 29: A young man from Jamshedpur lost his life on Thursday morning after being strangled by a python he frequently carried around his neck. The incident occurred near Heera Hotel on Mango Dimna Road.
The identity of the deceased is yet to be confirmed, but initial reports suggest he was a resident of Bhuinyadih in Patamda. Eyewitnesses mentioned that the man had a habit of roaming the streets of Jamshedpur, particularly around Dimna Road, with the snake draped around his neck.

A local resident noted, “Just a week ago, he was seen walking with the same snake, and people were concerned about his safety.” On the day of the incident, the python suddenly tightened its grip around the man’s neck, causing him to struggle for his life.
Locals immediately called a snake catcher for help, but by the time the man was freed, he had already succumbed to the constriction. Police officers from Ulidih Police Station arrived at the scene and sent the body to Mahatma Gandhi Memorial (MGM) Medical College Hospital.

According to the police, the young man was believed to be mentally unstable, which may have contributed to his dangerous behavior with the snake. An investigation is underway to gather further details about the incident and the victim.
