Jamshedpur: Purvi Singhbhum Zila Marwari Sammelan (PSZMS) on Saturday extended a warm welcome to community representatives who have been elected to the newly formed BJP district committee during a programme organized at the Agrasen Bhawan in Sakchi. The senior members of the Marwari community were of the view that in the near future more members opf the community would actively participate in political activities and give credence to the belief that business and politics could very well go hand-in-hand.
PSZMS president Umesh Shah in his welcome address observed that it was a matter of pride for the Marwari community that more than 12 members from their midst had been selected in the committee of BJP executives who include executive members, special invitees, Mandal president and district general secretary.
The BJP executive members hailing from the Marwari community were presented with traditional scarves. Among the elite of the community present on the occasion were senior state vice president Ashok Bhalotia, past state president Nirmal Kabra, state joint secretary Bajranglal Agrawal and Balmukund Goyal.
The programme was moderated by by Arun Gupta while the vote of thanks was offered by PSZMS general secretary Ashok Modi. Among the community members who were elected to the BJP district committee to be honoured on Saturday were Anil Modi, Pawan Agrawal, Hannui Jain, Suresh Sharma, Sushil Sonthalia and Ashok Agrawal. Other members could not be present due to preoccupations.
Today�s programme was organized by Sunil Debuka, Murarilal Agrawal, Lala Joshi, Pankaj Chhavchharia, Satyanarayan Agrawal and other PSZMS members.
