Jamshedpur: A free health check-up camp was hosted alongside the three-day children’s fair at the Bagunhatu Durga Puja grounds. The event hosted by the Prasad Chaturbhuj Foundation saw residents undergo eye examinations, dental check-ups, blood sugar tests, and blood pressure screening.
The Prasad Chaturbhuj Foundation organised the fair to mark the death anniversary of late Chaturbhuj Prasad. More than 500 children participated in various competitions and activities during the event.
Competitions and Activities
Organisers held several competitions over three days, including:
- Drawing
- Rangoli
- Mehndi
- Fancy dress
- Group dance
- Boogie woogie
- Marathon
Children participated in large numbers and performed on stage before parents and local residents.
Inauguration and Guests
Chief guest Chandragupta Singh inaugurated the fair by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
On the second day, Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy attended a marathon and yoga programme. He interacted with participants, distributed chocolates and flagged off the marathon by releasing balloons.
Adarsh Gupta from the Tata Foundation also attended the event and said efforts would be made to support initiatives focused on children’s development.
Winners Felicitated
Anand Bihari Dubey distributed trophies and certificates to the winners. Organisers also honoured members of the community and the organising committee for their support.
