Jamshedpur: Even after the tragic deaths of Krishna Sharma (45) and his daughter Anjali Kumari (19) in a road accident at Jemco on Tuesday night, heavy vehicles continue to be parked on the roadside, defying police assurances.
On Thursday night, the anger of locals boiled over as dozens of trucks, trailers and dumpers were found illegally parked from Jemco to Anna Chowk. Frustrated by the authorities’ inaction, residents armed with sticks took to the streets under the leadership of Rahagoda Mukhiya Hemant Khalko, smashing the windows of nearly 30 vehicles in protest. This led to panic among drivers, who quickly fled the scene with their vehicles, clearing the road entirely.

The situation prompted an immediate response from the Govindpur and Telco police, who rushed to the spot to control the situation and pacify the protestors. Mukhiya Hemant Khalko warned that if the administration fails to take action, he and his supporters will forcibly remove the vehicles themselves to prevent further loss of life.
