Jamshedpur, May 26: South Eastern Railway (SER) General Manager (GM) Radheshyam will inaugurate the newly constructed PRS building at the Tatanagar railway Station on June 8.
PRS (Passenger Reservation System) building at Adityapur Railway Station will also be opened. This was informed by Chakradharpur divisional railway manager�(DRM)�Rajendra Prasad talking to the media persons on Tuesday.
Prasad said that escalators at the station will also be dedicated to the people on June 8 and the length of platform No. 1 at Tatanagar will also be amplified to withstand 24 boggies of the train for which Rs 14 crore budget will be sanctioned.
Later, Chakradharpur divisional railway manager�(DRM)�Rajendra Prasad inaugurated the fortnight long programme �Railyatri/Upbhokta Pakhwada� (Passenger and Customer Facilitation Fortnight) at Tatanagar Railway Station on Tuesday, May 26.
The event will continue till June 9. The programme is primarily directed towards Passenger Amenities/Customer Facilitation, Awareness about various achievements of Indian Railways during the preceding year and highlights of Railway Budget 2015-16, etc. �
The event is being held all over Indian Railways. Later, DRM also inspected the facilities at the railway station and took stock of the situation.
Also present during the function were ARM Dilip Kumar, Assistant Engineer (AEN) A.K. Das and RPF OC D. Sharma
