Jamshedpur, April 25: Kerala Public School (KPS) witnessed protests on Wednesday as 80 students failed in the re-test for classes 9 and 11, sparking allegations of deliberate failure by the school administration. Parents and students expressed frustration, claiming that despite minimal differences in marks from the previous exams, they were failed again.

Under the leadership of Hemant Pathak from the All Jharkhand Student Union and Youth Committee, parents attempted to meet the school Principal to address their concerns. However, after waiting for hours without response, they staged a protest at the school’s main gate.

The protesters questioned the necessity of conducting the re-test if students were destined to fail again, especially since fees were charged for both the main examination and re-test. Pathak accused the school of prioritizing financial gain over the students’ academic progress, suggesting that failing students could coerce parents into paying additional fees for their children’s future.
