Jamshedpur, April 25 : A violent clash between two groups erupted late last night at the Baradwari vegetable market ground in Sakchi, resulting in injuries to labor leader Rakeshwar Pandey’s bodyguard, Mukesh Tiwari and businessman Manoj Jaiswal. The altercation escalated into a physical confrontation, with supporters from both sides joining the fray.
During the clash, Manoj Jaiswal allegedly opened fire, injuring Mukesh Tiwari in the thigh and stomach. Tiwari was rushed to Tata Main Hospital (TMH) and is currently undergoing treatment in the Critical Care Unit (CCU).
Meanwhile, police from Sakchi and Sidhgora arrived at the scene and apprehended Manoj Jaiswal, recovering a licensed revolver from his possession. Jaiswal was also taken to TMH for medical treatment and has since been detained by the police.
Jamshedpur City SP Mukesh Lunayat stated that investigations were going on into the incident, and an inquiry would be conducted to determine the reasons behind the clash.
