Pronay backs Jamshedpur FC to bounce back

Jamshedpur, March 22: Pronay Halder has expressed confidence in Jamshedpur FC, stating that the team remains united and focused despite a recent setback. He said the squad is determined to come back stronger in their upcoming matches.

Pronay highlighted the team’s late fightback against Sporting Club Delhi in Delhi, where Jamshedpur FC secured a crucial point with a dramatic equaliser. Midfielder Nikola Stojanovic scored late in the match, helping the team avoid defeat after a hard-fought contest.

“It was important for us not to leave empty-handed after the way we played,” Pronay said. “We kept believing till the end, and that made the difference.”

Jamshedpur FC started the match on a strong note and created several scoring opportunities. However, they fell behind after conceding a goal in the first half. Despite this, the team maintained pressure, with players like Sanan creating chances and testing the opposition defence through continuous attacks and set-pieces.

Pronay felt that the team deserved more than a draw based on their overall performance. “We controlled many phases of the game and kept pushing even after going behind,” he said.

The equaliser ensured a valuable point for the team and reflected their resilience. Jamshedpur FC now have 13 points from six matches and are level with Mohun Bagan, who have played one match fewer.

With an international break ahead, Pronay said the team will focus on recovery and improvement before their next big match against Mohun Bagan on April 4. He added that the squad is confident and ready to perform strongly in the upcoming fixtures.
