Jamshedpur: The Sikh Naujawan Sabha of Sarjamda marked the martyrdom of Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev, and Rajguru by organizing an educational drive. The event paid tribute to the supreme sacrifice of India’s freedom fighters while emphasizing the transformative power of literacy for the next generation.
Fostering Education Among Youth
During the program, the Sabha distributed notebooks and textbooks to more than 50 children. This initiative aimed to provide essential learning materials to young students, encouraging them to pursue their studies with determination and purpose. Large numbers of youth participated in the event, which local leaders described as a fitting tribute to the vision of the national martyrs.
Community Leaders Pay Tribute
The ceremony began with dignitaries offering floral tributes to the portraits of the three martyrs. Prominent attendees included:
- Ravinder Singh Minta: President, Gurudwara Committee
- Amrik Singh: President, Central Sikh Naujawan Sabha
- Inderjit Singh: Founder-President, Aagaaz
- Sumi Karai & Nagi Murmu: Mukhiyas of North and South Sarjamda
- Jasvir Kaur: President, Stree Satsang Sabha
Members of the Bahadur Gatka Group, including Jagjit Singh and Pankaj Sharma, along with social worker Himanshu Jha, also attended to support the cause.
