Jamshedpur, July 8: Tata Motors continued their winning run in the Premier Division with a convincing 4-0 victory over Jharkhand Sporting Club at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Tuesday.
After a competitive first half, Bikram Kisku opened the scoring in the 37th minute to give Tata Motors a 1-0 lead at the break. Somchand Hansda doubled the advantage in the 62nd minute. Rohit Tigga then sealed the win with two late goals in the 82nd and 88th minutes, helping Tata Motors register an emphatic victory.
Super Division: Mohammaden Sporting Club Beat Jungle Tiger FA 6-0
Mohammaden Sporting Club produced a dominant performance to defeat Jungle Tiger Football Academy 6-0 in the Super Division match at Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium.
Gopt Soy put Mohammaden Sporting ahead in the third minute. The team dominated the second half, with Sukhdev Pareya scoring in the 56th minute. An own goal by Sangram Baskey extended the lead to 3-0. Nadeem Akhtar scored twice in the 76th and 85th minutes, while Rajesh Murmu added another goal in the 82nd minute to complete the comprehensive win.
A Division Group A: Vision Apex FC Hold Smile Club to 1-1 Draw
Vision Apex Football Club came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw against Smile Club in the Group A fixture at Armoury Ground.
Smile Club took an early lead through Samir Sundi in the 10th minute. However, Dinesh Hembrom equalised just before halftime, ensuring both teams shared one point after a closely fought contest.
A Division Group B: Sidhu Kanu Memorial Club Edge Vikas Samities 1-0
Sidhu Kanu Memorial Club registered a narrow 1-0 victory over Vikas Samities in the Group B match at Gopal Maidan.
Surai Murmu scored the decisive goal in the 43rd minute. The team defended well throughout the second half to maintain the lead and secure all three points.
