Poverty elimination is government�s top priority: CM

Ranchi: Inaugurating the State Credit Seminar 2017-18 conducted by NABARD, Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that the government will leave no stone unturned to remove poverty from the state and is ready to expense the required fund for the same.

He said that in order to make the state prosperous, villages should be developed. Strategy should be made sincerely to succeed. The present growth rate in agriculture is 10% and it needs to be made 20% by the next year. Small efforts can change the state. Congratulating NABARD, the CM said that 28,000 tribal families are connected with self help groups and running 39 programs.

He said that cashless transaction will help in good governance and corruption free Jharkhand. The revenue of the govt. has increased after demonetization. Cashless transaction has helped the government see all transactions. It will help rein black money and black marketing. He said that primarily it will take some time but once people get tuned with it, they will prefer it to other mode of transaction. The CM also rewarded people working diligently and sincerely in different fields.

Agriculture Secretary Nitin Madan Kulkarni, Finance Secretary Satyendra Singh, NABARD CGM Subrato Mandal, RBI GM Patrik Barla and other people were present on this occasion.
