Ranchi: Canara Bank Chairperson-cum-MD Rakesh Sharma accompanied by Executive Director Dinabandhu Mahapatra paid a courtesy visit to Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Friday.
The CM asked Sharma to provide maximum funds for cottage industries and SHGs and open required ATMs in the villages. The CM also asked the CMD to provide Rupay card against funds deposited under Jan Dhan scheme.
Das directed the state officials concerned to provide space for Canara Bank Head-office and training institute at New Capital area.
Sharma told the CM that Canara Bank has its own separate circle and the bank is assisting the government in cashless transaction. All micro ATMs are functional and maximum pre-paid cards have been distributed by the bank.
