Jamshedpur: Hundreds of villagers of Kairasai village under Tangrain panchayat of Potka staged demonstration on Thursday to protest the leasing of a hill in Kairasai Mouza.
They demanded revocation of the lease given by the state government. They alleged that a mining lease agreement was given to Vision and Vision Private Limited by fraudulently claiming consent of the gram sabha. They threatened to launch a massive stir in case the lease rights given to the said company are not revoked soon.
The protestors mainly included Amar Singh Sardar, Saraswati Sardar, Parvati Sardar, Panchami Sardar, Lipika Sardar and Ras Bihari Sardar.
