Jamshedpur: Marwari community meets CM, demands CBI probe into Hazaribagh suicide case

Jamshedpur, July 20 : Marwari community of the steel city today met CM Raghubar Das at Ranchi and demanded a CBI probe into suspected suicide of Agarwal family of Hazaribagh who were found dead on Sunday. A delegation of the community led by Nirmal Kabra handed over a memorandum to CM in this regard and demanded CBI probe.

The members of community told Raghubar Das that the family was murdered and the members did not commit suicide over mounting debts. �We met CM to demand a CBI probe. We have come to know from victims� relatives that they might have been murdered as there is no evidence of suicide and there is a deep-rooted conspiracy behind the deaths,� noted Kabra. CM has promised proper action.

“The community across the state are demanding a high level probe. Even circumstantial evidence suggests a conspiracy behind the deaths. We have also brought this matter to the notice of Chief Minister Raghubar Das today,” said another member.

The deaths of wholesale dry fruits dealer Naresh Agrawal, 40, his wife Priti, 38, his children Aman, 10, and Anvi, 8, and parents MahavirMaheshwari, 70, and Kiran, 65 have sent shocking waves across the community. According to one of the six suicide notes found, Naresh killed his children, while his wife and parents hanged themselves.
