Jamshedpur, Sep 12: Two bike-borne criminals, posing as CBI officers, reportedly looted ornaments worth several lakhs from one Reshmi Ranjan Rai of Ramjanam Nagar, Kadma, on Monday.

Sources said Rai, a contractor by profession, was passing by DBMS School when he was intercepted by the culprits. The pillion rider held a gun in his hand and addressed his aide as ‘sir’. The two rebuked Rai for wearing so many gold ornaments and asked him to remove them and hand them over to them in a handkerchief. They also asked Rai to follow them to police station for safety reasons.

Soon after taking the ornaments, the culprits sped away. Rai soon understood that he had been robbed. He went to Kadma police station and registered a police complaint in this connection.
