Population awareness drive kicks off

Seraikela: A public awareness drive on population control was launched in Seraikela-Kharsawan on Thursday. District Civil Surgeon Dr Priyaranjan flagged off two Jagrukta Raths (awareness chariot) on this occasion. He said the National Health Mission is going to celebrate Population Day in the district on 11th July. A population control drive is already on in the district. It was inaugurated on 27th June last.
Dr Priyaranjan said the Jagrukta Raths will move in various rural and urban areas of the district and inform people about population control methods. People will be informed about the various aspects of population control. Doctors and medicines will also be available with the awareness vehicles. The health department will also organize Parivar Vikas Mela till 24th July, said Dr Priyaranjan.
