Jamshedpur, April 15: A speeding pickup truck collided with a parked vehicle in the Industrial Area under Adityapur police station limits, leaving the car severely damaged and the owner injured.
According to factory owner Sujay Das, the incident took place on April 13 around 7:45 PM when a high-speed pickup truck crashed into his parked car with great force, completely wrecking the vehicle. The impact also left him with injuries to his leg.
The victim alleged that the pickup driver did not possess a valid driving license and suspected a possible conspiracy behind the incident. He further stated that the pickup truck owner initially promised compensation but later backed out. The damaged car was expected to take 3–4 months for repairs, causing major inconvenience.
The victim has appealed to the administration for compensation and strict action against the accused. A formal complaint was in the process of being filed at the local police station.
Trailer hits bike and bus, six injured
Jamshedpur: Six people, including a woman, were seriously injured in a major road accident at Bhadudih in Chandil on Wednesday afternoon. All the injured were admitted to MGM Hospital for treatment.
The injured included trailer driver Rathore Rai, helper Kalimuddin, bus driver Mafis Miyan, passenger Safina Khatoon, and three motorcyclists—Imran, Raju, and Itesham Qureshi.
According to reports, an out-of-control trailer first hit a motorcycle carrying three youths before colliding with a passenger bus. The trailer was moving from Ranchi to Chakulia, while the bus was heading from Mango to Kukru. The collision caused extensive damage to both vehicles. The injured youths are residents of Kapali. Treatment was underway.
