Jamshedpur, June 24: Jamshedpur Pracharak Harvinder Singh Jamshedpuri sought a nod for allowing Sikh women and elders should be allowed to serve in Gurudwaras as Mukhya Sevadaars. Harvinder said, “History is witness to the fact that while our Sikh brothers gave up their lives to ward off attacks on the Sikh community and the country, our mothers and sisters too came forward to protect the nation. Our mothers and sisters did not lag behind even on the battle fronts. Be it defending against raiders or leading prayer sessions, our women community has never lagged behind our brothers. So why should our sisters and mothers be deprived of being Mukhya Sevadaars?”

Pracharak Harvinder Singh Jamshedpuri said that he would definitely raise this issue in a letter to Shri Akal Takht Sahib.
