Seraikela: Chief Minister Hemant Soren has taken quick note on the tweet of Sumit Chaudhary, a young social worker from Seraikela. After which, the Chief Minister ordered to provide immediate benefits to 74-year-old old destitute Mamta Devi, who is begging the Deputy Commissioner. The Deputy Commissioner has also started the process of fresh pension for the said old lady, starting immediate action on the matter.
In connection with the incident, it is being told that a post was posted on Facebook social media account by the social worker Anuraj Acharya of Seraikela regarding the said old woman. Seeing this, Sumit Chaudhary, a young social worker from Seraikela, obtained information about the old woman by providing necessary food items to her. Which revealed that there is no male member in the woman’s family. The son of the said old woman living in Dugani village under Gamharia block has also died.
Sumit spoke to the Gamharia Block Development Officer about the old woman not getting the benefit of the pension scheme even once since 2017. Also, the Deputy Commissioner and the Chief Minister were tweeted about the matter. On the one hand, misuse of social media is leading to many incidents. The same use of social media is also being appreciated.
