Jamshedpur: Members of Brahman Yuva Shakti Sangh have demanded closure of all slaughterhouses ahead of Navratri. A delegation of the outfit members led by Abhishek Ojha today met the ADM law and order Subodh Kumar and handed over a memorandum to him in this connection.
The delegation members alleged that slaughterhouses were spreading diseases due to lack of hygiene and were also supporting cruelty against animals. They said all authorized and unauthorized slaughterhouses should be immediately closed down by the administration in the larger interest of the people of the city.
Appu Tiwari said the administration should take initiative to put a stop on cruelty against animals by ensuring strict compliance of the Prevention to Cruelty to Animals Act. He said the administration should show sensitivity towards animals and stop killing of animals everywhere.
Among those who met the ADM included Sanjay Mishra, Ranjit Pandey, H Mishra, Satish Tiwari, Pawan Ojha, Lippu Sharma, H Mishra, Pawan Bihari Ojha, Sudhir Dubey, Arun Shukla, Mukesh Dubey, Ramkeshwar Ojha, Abhishek Shukla and Vijay Dubey.
