Opposition leader questions security lapse during PM’s visit in Ranchi

Ranchi: Amar Bauri, the Leader of the Opposition in Jharkhand, has raised concerns and questions regarding the recent security lapse during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Ranchi. Bauri pointed out the apparent contradiction where, on one hand, Congress members in Jharkhand criticize the Prime Minister’s visit, and on the other hand, a woman suddenly runs in front of the Prime Minister’s car.

According to Bauri, the government has dismissed the incident, attributing it to the woman’s mental health. He expressed skepticism about the government’s explanation and highlighted the gravity of the situation. Earlier, in Punjab, the Congress government had also faced criticism for an incident that seemed to compromise the Prime Minister’s security.

Amar Bauri urged the state government not to merely pay lip service to the matter but to initiate a thorough investigation by a high-level committee. Additionally, he recommended involving the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to scrutinize the incident further.
