Jamshedpur, March 25: A 24 year-old youth, identified as Himanshu Tiwary, died while his friend, Shivam Munda, 21, got seriously injured in a road accident on the Hata-Chaibasa main road on Friday, police said.
Sources said the mishap occurred around 2 pm when the two friends were returning from Chaibasa to Vidyapatinagar, Baridih. The two rode a motorcycle. As they came near Kumrasole village on the National Highway 220, Himanshu suddenly fell asleep and lost control on the vehicle. The bike rammed into a roadside Jamun tree. Both friends got seriously injured in the incident. They were taken to Rajnagar Community Health Centre where doctors pronounced Himanshu dead. Shivam sustained serious injuries in his leg and other body parts. He was taken to MGM Hospital.
