Jamshedpur, Oct 19: East Singhbhum district education department has issued notice to all government schools for creating a friendly environment for all students. The Principals, Head Masters and Wardens of these schools have been directed to deal amicably with students.
Sources said the notice further mentioned that the schools should ensure cent per cent attendance of students and teachers and hold parent-teacher meeting on fourth Saturday of every month to discuss about their attendance and academic progress. Students performing well in various activities should also be honoured.
Sources said the education department has directed all residential schools to compulsorily organize Sandhya Chaupal. Other schools should make students aware through cultural and sports competitions.
District Education Officer (DEO) Nirmala Kumari Barelia said the notice was issued in view of the recent incident of self-immolation bid by a class 9 student of Shardamoni Girls High School at Sakchi.
