NSS cadets of Cooperative College launch voters� awareness drive

Jamshedpur: Cadets of National Service Scheme unit of Jamshedpur Cooperative College, Jamshedpur, today launched a voters� awareness campaign at Kabiria Urdu High School, Dhatikidih, and JH Tarapore School.

The organizers of the campaign said the purpose of the programme is to increase the average voting percentage in Jamshedpur constituency. They said the programme was held to appeal to voters of the city to make sure that they cast their vote before having breakfast on 17th April. The slogan �Pehle matdaan, phir jalpaan� is being circulated among voters to make them aware of the significance of voting, organizers said.

A large number of NSS volunteers and other people associated with the campaign were present on the occasion. The volunteers also visited Harijan Busti, Dhatkidih, and asked voters not to compromise with their right to vote for any monetary gain or other benefits under influence of people canvassing for various candidates.

Those who attended the programme included programme officer Professor Dara Singh Gupta, Abhinav Mallik, Wasif Ali, Sumit Kumar, Sukendu, Vidhan Sharma, Alka, Prerna and Pankaj.
