Jamshedpur: Communist Party of India, East Singhbhum district committee, today declared its decision to support Jharkhand Vikas Morcha candidate Dr Ajoy Kumar in the Lok Sabha elections.
District secretary of CPI, Shashi Kumar said the party appealed to the people of Jamshedpur Lok Sabha constituency to support Dr Ajoy Kumar by casting their vote in his favour.
�We have decided to support Dr Ajoy after the miserable failure of Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress party in living up to the expectations of the people. The United Progressive Alliance led government at the Centre formed for the second time has failed on all fronts, be it governance, development, employment, corruption or agriculture. Every other day some or the other scam was unearthed during the UPA 2 regime. This has led the people to seek a third option. This is high time the people chose the right candidate to save this country from doom,� said Kumar.
Kumar said there was basically no difference in the policies of National Democratic Alliance and the UPA. Both alliances were looking for power at the Centre without having any genuine concern for the people and their welfare, he said.
�In Gujarat, the state government has given huge subsidies to major corporate houses at the meager rate of interest of 0.1 per cent. The subsidy amount was made returnable in 20 years. The Gujarat model of development actually means atrocity on farmers and assassination of minorities,� said Kumar.
