NRI duped of Rs 13 lakh, FIR lodged

Jamshedpur: A case of fraud worth Rs 13 lakh has been lodged by the Golmuri police following a court complaint lodged by Ritesh Kumar Tiwary, an NRI. The complainant alleged that he had given Rs 13 lakh to the accused persons, Rahul Verma and Rohit Verma, residents of Sundernagar, for the interior decoration of his restaurant at Kalimati Road. Even after having taken the money, the accused persons did no interior decoration work at the said restaurant. When Tiwary demanded his money back, the two allegedly refused to pay the same.
