Kisan Sabha organizes rally on public issues

Jamshedpur: A procession was taken out in Potka under the banner of Jharkhand State Kisan Sabha here on Monday to raise various issues of public interest. It started in Dhirol village where hundreds of villagers gathered to raise a number of demands. The villagers, led by the outfit president Tarni Sen Manjhi, demanded fixing of Rs 22 per kilogram as the purchase price for paddy, payment of crop insurance for the year 2015-16, starting old irrigation projects, waiving loans to farmers and distributing seeds among the farmers from time to time. Among those present during the procession included Jagat Murmu, Chandan Das, Laltu Das, Shakuntala Manjhi, Ashok Sardar, Parvati Manjhi, Aarti Karmakar and Nakul Murmu.
