Jamshedpur, May 2: The issue of repair of the Tatanagar Railway Overbridge road has hit a roadblock once again, it seems.
Sources said from the year 2008 till date, the Divisional Rail Manager (DRM) of Chakradharpur has written five times to the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum for the repair of the overbridge road. But the road has not been repaired and is full of potholes with rods jutting out of the concrete.
The DRM had first sent the letter on 15th February 2008 and the last letter was sent on 31st August 2021, sources said.
According to sources, Railway authorities argue that the overbridge road is mostly used by the citizens and hence the repair work should be carried out by the district administration and the not the Railways.
Everyday, a large number of people use the overbridge. Due to its poor condition, the administration has stopped heavy vehicles from plying on it.
