NIT Jamshedpur hosts A-MDP on Green Credit and Product Ecomark Labeling

Jamshedpur: The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Jamshedpur inaugurated a five-day Advanced Management Development Program (A-MDP) on ‘Green Credit Program and Product Eco-Labeling Certification’ on Sunday. Sponsored by the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, the program aims to equip 25 industry professionals with insights into sustainability, green credits, and eco-mark certification.

The event was graced by Dr. S. Ranganathan (MoEFCC Expert Appraisal Committee), Prof. Rajesh Kumar Tiwari (Director, RVSCET Jamshedpur), Prof. R.V. Sharma (Deputy Director, NIT Jamshedpur), Prof. M.K. Sinha (Dean, R&C), and Dr. N.K. Rai (Registrar, NIT Jamshedpur). Program coordinators Dr. C.M. Rao, Dr. Dinesh Kumar, and Dr. Naveen Kumar Veldurathi welcomed the participants.

Prof. Ranganathan highlighted the significance of green credit and eco-labeling in fostering sustainable industrial growth. Over five days, trainees will gain insights into carbon and green credit systems, waste management, circular economy, and eco-certification through expert lectures and an industrial visit to a recycling plant.
