ISQ sets focus on MSMEs, students and quality professionals
Jamshedpur: Nishith Kumar Sinha has been appointed as the new President of the Executive Committee of the Indian Society for Quality (ISQ), Jamshedpur Chapter. Prior to this appointment, Sinha served as the Honorary Secretary of the chapter and has been actively associated with various quality initiatives in the region.
The newly reconstituted Executive Committee comprises professionals from leading organizations such as Tata Steel, Tata Motors, TBExG, and Jamipol. The committee members include Rajeeva Ranjan, Rahul Thakur, R. Santoshi, Nidhi Basu, and Prantik Sarkar. The team brings together extensive experience and expertise in quality management and organizational excellence.
Speaking about the committee’s priorities, ISQ Jamshedpur Chapter stated that the new leadership will focus on expanding membership across industries and academic institutions. The committee also plans to organize knowledge-sharing sessions for quality professionals and undertake volunteering activities in schools and colleges to promote awareness about quality among students.
Another key focus area will be the promotion of quality practices among MSMEs in and around Jamshedpur. The chapter also aims to actively organize and participate in national-level events and programmes conducted by the Central ISQ.
Established in 1996, the Indian Society for Quality is a not-for-profit organization that serves as a national platform for quality professionals. With chapters in Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Delhi NCR, and Jamshedpur, ISQ works to promote quality management principles and practices across sectors under its mission of “Quality for Prosperity.”
