NHES kids mark Handwashing Day with fun & learning

Jamshedpur, April 2: The pre-primary section of  Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) celebrated hand-wash day on April 2, an event dedicated to promoting hygiene and raising awareness about the importance of handwashing in maintaining good health. The celebration was a fun-filled and educational event that encouraged young learners to understand the significance of proper hand hygiene in preventing the spread of germs and illnesses.

The event was marked by interactive activities, including a demonstration on how to wash hands properly, a handwashing song, and a special presentation led by the teachers. The highlight of the day was a fun handwashing challenge, where students competed in groups to see who could follow the correct handwashing steps most effectively.

“Our goal today was to in-still the importance of cleanliness and hygiene in the minds of our students at an early age,” said Harwinder, acting vice principal of NHES “Handwashing is one of the easiest and most effective ways to prevent the spread of germs, and we are excited to see our students actively participate in this important lesson.”

The event not only focused on teaching children about hygiene but also aimed to develop a sense of responsibility toward their own health and the well-being of others. Teachers and staff emphasised that handwashing should be a regular habit, especially during cold and flu seasons.

Parents were also encouraged to continue these hygiene practices at home, reinforcing the day’s message.

Hand-wash Day at NHES was a success, and the students left with a greater understanding of the essential role that hand hygiene plays in their everyday lives.
