‘NEET exam papers sent in e-rickshaw in Hazaribagh’ 

Hazaribagh, June 24: Hazaribagh Oasis School Principal cum NTA City Coordinator Dr Ehsan Ul Haq told reporters on Monday that following the guidelines of NTA, he had conducted the NEET UG exam on May 5.

The Bihar EOU team is investigating the paper leak case. After reaching Hazaribagh, the team gathered information. He cooperated fully in this. During the EOU investigation, the courier staff told that the boxes of question papers were delivered to SBI Bank (Hazaribagh) by Blue Dart Courier Service on May 3, 2024. The boxes of question papers were brought from Ranchi to Hazaribagh by car and those boxes were sent to the bank by e-rickshaw.

Principal of Hazaribagh’s Oasis School, Dr. Ehsan Ul Haq said that NEET UG examination was conducted on May 5 2024 at five centers in Hazaribagh. A booklet of NEET question paper held on 5 May 2024 was found half burnt in Patna, Bihar. To investigate this, the EOU team came to Hazaribagh on 21 June. Along with the EOU investigation team, he also went to SBI Bank, which was the custodian of the NEET paper.

The sealed box was opened in front of the observer, CS, teacher and student after videography at 1 pm on May 5 at the examination center Oasis School. The EOU team took complete information about it.

In the NEET UG paper leak case, the Bihar EOU (Economic Offenses Unit) team found a half-burnt question paper in Patna. The paper of Hazaribagh’s Oasis School was identified from the code of the question paper.

After the question paper was recovered, the EOU team reached Hazaribagh in Jharkhand and investigated the matter.

On the night of May 4, 35-40 students were being made to memorize the answers of the question paper in Learn and Play School in Khemnichak area of Patna. Many students were arrested in the police raid. Along with this, pieces of burnt question paper were also found along with many documents. The question paper was sent to five examination centers from Hazaribagh SBI Bank on May 5. The box of question papers was handed over and taken over from Ranchi Courier to Hazaribagh Courier and SBI Bank locker before May 5. This is being investigated. The EOU team has also taken the box of question papers present in the examination center Oasis School for forensic investigation. During the investigation, the team has taken all the evidence with them.

The Bihar EOU team came to Oasis School on June 21 and collected information related to the conduct of NEET examination. Five schools in Hazaribagh city were the centers for NEET examination. These include Oasis School, Holy Cross School, DAV School, Vivekanand Public School and Saint Xavier’s School.

The EOU team collected information about the receipt of NEET question paper by the observer from Hazaribagh SBI Bank on May 5. The time of receipt from the bank and the signature were also investigated. The team saw the videography footage of the box of question papers reaching the bank locker and going to the examination center. Information was also obtained from SBI about sending question paper boxes to all the five examination centres on the morning of 5 May.
