Jamshedpur: The Joint Annual Training Camp-16, organized under the aegis of 37 Jharkhand Battalion NCC Jamshedpur and NCC Group Headquarters Ranchi, is nearing its conclusion. Held in the premises of Kerala Public School Kadma, the camp’s cultural program and closing ceremony took place on Monday, December 30, 2024. The camp, which began on December 22, 2024, officially concluded on Tuesday. Over the ten days, 300 NCC cadets from 37 educational institutions across the Kolhan division participated in intensive training sessions.
The chief guest for the ceremony was Colonel Rakesh Sharma, Deputy Group Commander Ranchi Group. Other dignitaries included Principal Priyanka Varua of Kerala Public School Burmamines, Head Mistress Alamelu Ravishankar of Kerala Public School Kadma, as well as other officers, Associate NCC Officers (ANOs), and Caretaker Officers (CTOs).
The event commenced with a patriotic performance led by Kolhan’s Ex-Serviceman (ESM) Sharadendu Shekhar and his team, setting the tone for the celebration. The NCC cadets captivated the audience with a series of vibrant cultural presentations that showcased their talent and dedication.
Following the cultural program, outstanding cadets were honored for their exemplary performance during the camp. Medals and cash prizes were distributed to winners of various competitions, including sports, drill, and cultural events. These accolades were aimed at boosting the morale of the cadets and encouraging their continued excellence.
The ceremony concluded with an inspiring speech by Colonel Vinay Ahuja, Camp Commandant, who congratulated the cadets for successfully completing the camp and wished them success in their future endeavors. On behalf of the 37 Jharkhand Battalion NCC, Colonel Ahuja extended gratitude to the Director of Kerala Public School Kadma, the 220 Field Regiment, Civil Surgeon Office, Superintendent of Police Office, Jamshedpur, Jusco Tata Steel, and other officials who contributed to the camp’s success.
The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of Colonel Vinay Ahuja, Deputy Camp Commandant Lieutenant Colonel Gaurav Kumar Mishra, NCC officers, and the entire team of the 37 Jharkhand Battalion NCC. The collaborative efforts of all stakeholders ensured the seamless execution of the camp, making it a memorable experience for the cadets and attendees alike.
