Naxal arms cache recovered in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum

Chaibasa, Mar 1: On the basis of confession of surrendered rebel Jeevan Kandulna, West Singhbhum police have recovered a cache of arms from the forest at Tenderkocha on Monday. 

Kolhan DIG, Rajiv Ranjan Singh informed that the rebel CPM leader who carried an award of Rs 10 lakh on his head had surrendered recently in Ranchi and had admitted that their organisation had hid the arms at Tenderkocha under Sonua thana. West Singhbhum police led by SP Ajay Linda and CRPF team carried out a joint operation and recovered four rifles, huge amount of cartridges and explosives, Naxal literatures, etc. Cases have been lodged under the Arms Act, Explosives Act. 
Police are also trying to investigate the supply chain of cartridges to the Maoist. 
The recovery include 303 bore rifle, one 315 bore rifle, 220 pieces of cartridge, hand grenades two piece, detonators and codex wires, one piece each and Naxal literature and posters.
