Chaibasa, April 24: National Panchayati Raj Day was observed at Zilla Parishad conference hall in Chaibasa on Monday.
The vice chairperson of Zilla Parishad, Chandmuni inaugurated the National Panchayati Raj Day by lighting traditional lamp. A work shop for students was also organized on the occasion.
In his speech DRDA Director Amit Kumar said that Panachayat Rajya existed in India two thousand years back. Panchayat Rajya is the backbone of our nation.
As Municipality is run by Municipal corporation the panchayat rajya is run by Zilla Parishad. The children are our future citizen and the future responsibility of the nation would lay on their shoulders.
Vice chairman also explained about Panchayat Rajya. A large number of students participated in the National Panchayati Raj Day event.
