Narbheram student Shynita wins Maths Quiz ‘Number Ninjas’ at DBMS

Jamshedpur, Jan 18: Shynita Mukherjee of Narbheram Hansraj English School has been declared the winner of 4th Inter School Maths Quiz Contest “Number Ninjas” hosted virtually by D.B.M.S. English School on Tuesday, January 18.

Shynita Mukherjee secured 41 points followed by Ayaan Singh of Hill Top School  (40 points) to bag second place while Aniket Das of Motilal Nehru Public School (25 points) was second runner-up.

The Quiz comprised four rounds where children were quizzed on a wide array of logical and challenging puzzles wherein their ability with numbers and problem solving skills were put to test. The last round was a nail biting round ending in a tie breaker. It was truly a fun, engaging and interactive quiz which was enjoyed by both the participants and the audience.

Quiz master for the day was Vinay Mudaliar, a quiz master of repute and founder of Mindcogs, which believes in spreading knowledge in an engaging way.

This quiz was open to students of Std VII and VIII. 24 schools participated in the preliminary round where their Maths and logical reasoning skills were tested over a wide spectrum.

Earlier, eight city schools qualified for the finals- J H Tarapore, Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Motilal Nehru Public School, Hill Top School, Sacred Heart Convent School, Narbheram Hansraj English School, Sri Krishna Public School and DBMS English School.

The quiz was launched at the initiative of school chairperson, Bhanumathi Neelakantan. The Oxford University Press lent support in arranging the event.

Vinay is known for his high energy, wit, high-quality content and his connect with students. He is also a Television Quiz show host.
